Functional description

In the hot zone around the combustion chambers or burners, the high temperature combined with strong vibration and shortage of space, confronts the flame scanner designers with impossible barrier for connecting directly to the chambers or burners. In such cases, one of the most efficient solutions is to apply an appropriate “Fiber Optic Interface” between the connection point of chambers or burners to a safe and cool area with sufficient room. The light of flames are transferred over a glass fiber bundle, which is surrounded by a flexible protection hose. The digital flame detector analysis flame radiation, using a microprocessor. The spectral range are detected by a solid state photodetector. The existence of a flame is determined by the amount of the flame flickering.
